Koziebrocki Law works with chartered professional accountants regulated by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (“CPA”), which was established in 2014 as the profession’s qualifying and regulatory body for all chartered professional accountants, students in the CPA program, applicants, and firms.  Our firm assists chartered professional accountants with various regulatory matters, including the following:

  • Advising on compliance with relevant legislation and standards, including the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario Act, 2017 and the bylaws, as well as the CPA Code of Professional Conduct, regulations and policies of CPA Ontario;
  • Responding to various inquiries at the CPA, including drafting responses to complaints that are reviewed by the Professional Conduct Committee;
  • Advocating on behalf of chartered professional accountants at discipline hearings in front of the CPA’s Discipline Committee; and
  • Representing chartered professional accountants in appeals before the Appeal Committee, which has all the powers of the Discipline Committee, and can confirm, reject, or amend decisions and orders of the Discipline Committee.
